Challenging Conditions

Work Party for Counterwall. Despite the weather, we decided to go down and try to do as much as conditions would allow. Started well enough, and we got quite hopeful, however, after about two hours, the rain increased, so called it a day, at least we cleared the large island.
Birds noted:-
Little Egret 3, Marsh Harrier 4, Buzzard 6, Kestrel 1, Curlew Sandpiper 2, Green Sandpiper 6, Spotted Redshank 1 (heard), Greenshank 3 (heard), Whimbrel 37, Curlew 50+.
