A visit to Elmley rewards anyone from absolute beginners to expert photographers looking to making the most out of their equipment. The atmospheric skies, and mesmerising views across the marsh make a wonderful backdrop to capture an abundance and variety of wildlife. Hares, dragonflies, raptors are all obliging for photos. We ask that any photographer is aware of and understands the wildlife photography code.
Workshops
Robert Canis is an award-winning photographer specialising in wildlife and landscapes. His strong understanding and respect for nature results in captivating and unique images. The well-being of the species is at the forefront of his work. Robert learnt his trade at Elmley with the legendary Ted Coleman and has developed a unique knowledge of the Reserve and its wildlife. Beginner’s Workshop in Outdoor Photography with Robert Canis
1:1, 2:1 & 3:1 sessions. What better way of learning than by spending time with a professional wildlife photographer?! This workshop combines an escorted drive around the Reserve with private tuition. Aside from covering the technical aspects of the camera, Robert will also take you through the art of composition and how light, colour and form play the most vital roles in photography.
