Sheppey

15 minutes drive

On the island, all the beaches have Blue Flags.  Our favourites are:

  • Minster Leas, a long sand and shingle beach – the promenade is a lovely spot for a stroll but we prefer to wander past the cute coloured beach huts, and tuck up under the cliffs with the place to ourselves;
  • Shellness – a beach made entirely of shells! This is a beautiful wild and remote beach which runs onto the Swale National Nature Reserve.
