Winter into spring , Wigeon and Teal still in the thousands,  Shoveler numbers very good  up to 400, other wildfowl Pintail 50, Gadwall 40 +. Dark-bellied Brent Goose over the 500 mark.

Golden Plover numbers up to 5,000 in February and numbers tailing off slightly into early March, Grey Plover also in good numbers all winter 300 still in early March, Dunlin, Black-tailed Godwit and Knot also well represented and Curlew in excess of 300 +, Turnstone 40+ and Ringed Plover about.

Lapwing and Redshank  starting to mark their territories along with Oystercatcher 120+, Avocet 40,   also Mediterranean Gull arriving . Skylarks sight and sound more frequent, at times Bearded Tit quiet visible, Ruff around the dozen mark,  eight pair of Stonechat and Reed Bunting

Mute Swans, Marsh Harriers, Buzzards and Kestrel always in sight, at times Merlin, Barn and Short-eared Owl.
