Now is the time…September

- Water voles are present in most of the ditches and are more active now. The ditch to Wellmarsh hide and in front of Southfleet hide are good areas in which to see them
- Insects – Dragonfly and damselfly numbers are still good particularly around the Kingshill ponds which the hobbies are enjoying. There are still good butterfly and moth numbers/species. Excellent bumble bee numbers this year.
- Lizards and grass snakes can be seen sunning themselves – even now. Marsh frogs are still croaking.
- Autumn is here and numbers are picking up…things are moving through….
