As usual a good visit, lovely to see ten Spotted Redshank from Wellmarsh Hide, and Black-tailed Godwit showing their copper colours.  Plenty of Avocet, Redshank and Lapwing, also a large number of Little Egret.   Twenty two Grey Plover and about fifty Dunlin flew over. Common Tern and Med.Gulls still present, as are Sedge and Reed Warbler, Yellow Wags. and Whitethroat.  Adult and Young Marsh Harrier also giving good views.  Three Common Buzzard, one of which will no doubt be identified as a Rough-leg!  Two Hobby in flight in the distance towards the Prison. Approaching Kingshill, about 350 Curlew came in from the Swale.  A few butterflies, Small Skipper, Red Admiral,

Meadow Brown and Small Tortoiseshell mainly.  The wind got up with the tide, so Dragon and Damsels were keeping a low profile! The grasses on the Reserve still looking beautiful.
